Where to ride by level

First days on skis

Start on Borano next to the base station: a gentle 150 m slope served by a magic carpet. When you can turn and stop with confidence, take the Zanka gondola up and ride the blue Zanka run back to the base.

Confident intermediates

Take the gondola and then the Chanchakhi chairlift to the summit. Yaila 2 is the longest run on the mountain, about 2.7 km of wide blue slope with open views, and it ends at the mid station. From there, continue down Zanka.

Advanced skiers and freeriders

Yaila 1 is the red run right under the chairlift, about 2.3 km of steeper terrain. The open bowls around the summit are known for deep snow, but the map marks several danger zones there. Go off-piste only with a local guide and avalanche gear.

Summit to base in one run: Yaila 1 or Yaila 2 to the mid station (2,015–2,024 m), a short ski way, then Zanka to the base. That is a 642 m vertical descent.

Trail map FAQ

How many lifts and runs does Goderdzi have?

Three lifts: the 8-seat Zanka gondola (1,724–2,024 m), the 6-seat Chanchakhi chairlift (2,015–2,366 m) and the Borano magic carpet for beginners. There are four marked runs: one green (Borano), two blue (Zanka and Yaila 2) and one red (Yaila 1).

What is the longest run at Goderdzi?

Yaila 2, a blue run of about 2,661 m from the summit at 2,366 m down to the mid station. The red Yaila 1 is about 2,280 m long.

Is Goderdzi good for beginners?

Yes. The Borano beginner slope with a magic carpet sits right at the base, and the blue Zanka run is wide and not crowded, which suits confident beginners.

Can I ski from the summit to the base?

Yes. Ride Yaila 1 or Yaila 2 to the mid station, follow the short ski way and continue down Zanka to the base: 642 m of vertical in one descent.

Is off-piste skiing allowed?

Freeride terrain is open around the summit, but the map marks several danger zones there. The operator is not responsible for accidents outside the marked runs. Go with a guide and avalanche equipment. Emergency number: 112.
